Dundee Invasion: Equines At Edinburgh

The next part of my "Dundee Invasion" request/series. Remember how the mini-story for the first pic mentioned that "at least one of the prodigious unicorns was at the Royal Army fort at Edinburgh Castle"? Well, turns out there were two...and one of them wasn't quite a unicorn...

Drill Sergeant: "Oy! Ye blasted idiots, quit starin' at the giant ponies and git yer bloody eyes forward!"

Private 1: "B-but sir, those two are standing right on the parade ground! What are we supposed to do, march under them?!?"

Drill Sergeant: "Bloody Hell...I know the four-legged lasses are on the bleeding parade ground! It's a wee bit hard t'miss a five-hundred-foot candy-colored horse!!"

[to Trixie and Twilight, who have been watching the humans with some amusement] "...No offense, lasses!"

[To Private 1] "But, since ya managed to raise some kinda good point, I'll chat 'em up and see if I can't get 'em to move their oversized selves off our little lawn... And, since you're so keen on marchin' around, I guess an' the rest of you lads wouldn't mind a few extra laps 'round the courtyard!"

(Soldiers all groan as Drill Sergeant walks off)

Private 2: "...Hope that purple one skewers the sod on that lance of hers."

Private 1: "Wait...where does a giant unicorn get a jousting lance in the first place?

Private 2: "Wherever she bloody well pleases!"


***Meanwhile:***

Trixie: "Perhaps it isn't so bad that Trixie misplaced her jousting gear; eh, Your Highness?"

Twilight: [giggles nervously] "Okay...you have me there. Guess we should have just had it on some big open field, huh?"

Trixie: [smiles smugly] "Yes in hindsight that would have been a good idea. It is hard to enjoy a jousting match if we do not have enough room for a proper charge...or if we risk stomping bystanders into a paste in the process. And Trixie thinks there are better ways to celebrate a wedding than jousting."

Twilight: "Speaking of which...here comes company." [leans down to look Drill Sergeant in the eye] "Er, hi there. I suppose you want us to move?"
