The 'Big' Mares on Campus

Trixie: "Behold, Twilight Sparkle, for the Great and Intelligent Trixie has proven herself your equal--she has also been accepted into Oxford's exchange program!"

Twilight Sparkle: "What the--Trixie?! It's nice to see you and all, and congrats on getting in, but...I didn't even know you'd enrolled!"

Trixie: (smirks, half-smugly, half-friendly) "Trixie assures you, her presence here may come as a surprise..." (she produces an ID badge bearing her photo) "...but it is legitimate. We are friends now, correct?"

Twilight Sparkle: (examining the ID) "Oxford...Vanhoover University....Inter-Species Student Exchange Program--I didn't know it was actually called that officially-- ...Yes, looks legit to me. Well, looks like we're both in. Congrats again!"

Trixie: "Was there ever any doubt? You know Trixie can bounce back from almost any set-back eventually."

Twilight Sparkle: (smirks) "Especially if she has some new friends to vouch for her."

(Trixie rolls her eyes, but smiles)

Twilight Sparkle: "So, what are you studying? And what brought you out here to Earth while you were studying?

Trixie: "Trixie is studying entertainment--drama, comedy, and of course trickery and illusions. Her...pervious career as a showmare was largely self-taught or gleamed from others. Now Trixie will recapture the spotlight, with an official education in the arts at her back!" (starts gesturing grandly with her forelegs "And, though it is a distant dream...Trixie hopes to one day, as the saying goes, 'Go Professional'! Her name in lights, perhaps even on Earth AND Equestria!"

(Twilight can't help but laugh, and it seems Trixie's narration has attracted a fairly large human audience...many of whom applaud at the crescendo of Trixie's monologue. True to form, Trixie takes a bow.)

Twilight Sparkle: (giggles) "Ever the performer, huh Trixie? Well, as for me, I'll be studying Human history and culture--Princess Celestia says she wants me to step up to the Royal Diplomatic Corps as a junior agent someday. So, I'll have to be prepared...and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that."

Trixie: "Ever the scholoar, eh Twilight Sparkle? Trixie even wonders what the human students going to Equestria will be up to; she is acquainted with one young man...ah, but that is for another time. You say you wish to know about the humans' cultures, yes? Perhaps starting with the locals? Well....Trixie has a proposition for you: start with their....interesting sports! She is even headed to one such game this afternoon, care to come?"

Twilight Sparkle: "Oh! Yes!"

Trixie: "In that case, please follow Trixie--be mindful of this wall, it is a high step! ...There, now we can begin our trek. But first, let Trixie tell you of a game called 'rugby'..."
